Notifications and SMS

Two messages per customer, sent at the two moments that matter.

The two messages

A customer gets told twice: once when their turn is approaching, so they can head back, and once when it has arrived. Nothing else is sent. The queue does not chatter.

Get Ready

Fires when they cross the position you set as your threshold. Set it to how long it takes someone to walk back from wherever they went.

It's your turn

Fires when you serve them. This is the final message — once sent, the queue will not downgrade them back to a Get Ready.

Your threshold is a distance, not a number

The right threshold depends on how far people wander. A clinic where nobody leaves the waiting room can use a low number. A queue where people go for coffee down the street needs a higher one, so they get a useful head start.

Topping up

Buy credits in packs from your dashboard. They do not expire, and a purchase is added to your balance immediately.

Running out

Text messages stop. Everything else keeps working — customers still see their live position and still get browser push.

A low-balance warning appears on your dashboard before you run out, so topping up is never a surprise.

Wording the message yourself

The turn message can be rewritten in Settings if the default does not sound like you. Keep it short — long messages read badly on a lock screen and are the first thing people skim past.

Common questions

Thresholds and message wording live in Settings. See settings and billing.
