LineMarshal is the take a number system without the ticket roll. Customers scan a QR code to take their place, watch their number move on their phone, and get a text when they are up, while a lobby screen shows who is being served.

The take a number machine had one good idea, a fair order, wrapped in a lot of friction: the paper, the squinting at the wall display, the being trapped near the counter. LineMarshal keeps the fair order and removes every bit of the friction.

Customers take their number with a scan and carry it on their phone, so they can wait anywhere and still see their place. A get ready text brings them back at the right moment, and the lobby TV shows the current number for anyone watching the room.
